Morden Stomp Basketball

As part of our drive to engage pupils with the curriculum at all levels, Year 8 created their own rhythmic responses to some driving 80s disco tracks using basketballs and their own lightning reflexes (in some cases).
The principle of learning an instrument is largely an issue of control and timing through realtime feedback.This relates nicely with the physical control needed to succeed in sport and the performance skills of the hugely popular STOMP stage show and touring company artists who inspired this venture.
This project forms part of the world percussion unit of learning.
