A big thank you to all who donated money to the collection buckets around the school. A total of £499.80 was raised alone by the collection buckets, this means that Ciara has surpassed her target by a huge amount, all proceeds will go to the Little Princess Trust.
Ciara in Year 8 will be cutting off her hair this Friday for the Little Princess Trust. She is going to be leading the Key Stage 3 assembly this Friday along with her best friend Elliot Ashwin who lost all of his hair last year during chemotherapy treatment.
In addition to donating her hair, they would like to raise enough money for the donated hair to be made into a wig. Each wig costs approximately £350.
"Today is May the 15th and its my 13th birthday rather than receiving presents I would I like to give a present so I'm cutting over 30cm of my hair off to turn it into a wig" - Ciara, Year 8
The students will be be doing bucket collections on Friday in the Key Stage 3 assembly and also in the canteen in all week.
