    Year 9 Rugby NWESSA Champions

The year 9 boy’s rugby team played a tournament at Braintree RFC on Tuesday 10th October 2017. With 20-minute games the boys had to start well, beating Helena Romanes School by 19-0. They then played Honeywood School, which was the toughest game of the tournament but dug deep to win by 25-0. There were some outstanding individual performances, however, the win was developed by great team work and effective high impact substitutions made my Mr Sansom. They then played Ramsey Academy, which was a 27-0 win. The team did extremely well not to concede a point in the whole tournament and ran out outright winners.

Year 9 Rugby captain Nathan wrote: Well played boys a great performance by all to go and grab the win. We dominated in all areas of the game, smashing the opponents with skill and style. We weren’t the biggest physically but our mental attitude towards the tournament was phenomenal.

Congratulations to the players and Mr.Sansom who has coached the team all year. They are now well deserved NWESSA Rugby Champions.
