Established 1588 ffree Grammer Schole of Newport

Uniform

Your daughter/son’s school uniform can be purchased from Gray Palmer, 47 High Street, Saffron Walden. Please visit the school wear section of their website for more information; www.graypalmer.co.uk.

Each House has its own colour tie, and to enable you to purchase the correct tie your daughter/son will be notified of their House on induction day.

All uniform must conform to school requirements and obtaining uniform from Gray Palmer will ensure requirements are met.  In addition, sponsorship for our school fund will also be given on each order placed.

Please note that uniform is not available directly from the school.

Governors’ Grants

If your daughter/son is entitled to free school meals you may be eligible for a school uniform grant, assistance with educational visits and music tuition.  Parents who qualify may request free uniform twice in the student's school career. If you believe you may qualify for a grant please contact Mrs N Coop, Finance Officer.

Uniform Requirements

There is a uniform list in the planner that will be given to your child when they start school.  Please encourage your daughter/son to observe the uniform rules at all times, as infringements will result in their uniform card being signed and may lead to a detention.
