Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch Up Funding
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2).
In the academic year 2014-15 schools received an additional £500 for each pupil in year 7 who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of KS2.
In 2014-15 Joyce Frankland Academy received a total premium of £4000. This funding was spent on designated one to one English and Maths intervention sessions and peer reading group sessions.
This year's funding will be allocated to:
- Intensive small group literacy and numeracy tuition for the relevant students.
